"As a professional executive at a major
global fortune 500 company I hardly have time to eat lunch let alone journal on a daily basis. When a friend introduced me
to this journal I thought what a wonderful idea--once a year journaling, now that I can handle."
"I'm a father of two boys, ages six and nine...when I find myself disciplining
(or just having a conversation with them) I try to remember stories from my past they'll be able to relate to... For example,
I wonder at what exact age I was, and the circumstances surrounding a girl first catching my eye. How I wish I had started
this journal at a young age so I could better relate and recall detailed stories from my youth to share with my boys. I'm
getting them both started with this journal this year. If they don't thank me for the writing assignment now, they'll thank
me in the future. And hopefully they'll even share some of their answers with me."
"Done going to stores. I bought three, and now I am going to buy a case of these journals from
the author directly. I keep them in my closet and then when I need a baby shower gift--got it, a birthday gift--easy enough,
graduation gift--done. I'll even use them as thank you gifts for girls in my office and for holidays. It will work for almost
any occasion. Each one I gave away as a gift gets the same reaction "Oh, what a great idea.""
"I was surprised when I got this journal in the mail because not only
does it have very deep and thought provoking questions, but it also provides space to list simple facts. It asked if I had
any ailments or operations? What my room looked like? What I was learning about and to name of my favorite food, friend, and
song, etc. I love that all key facts about me are collected in one spot. In the future I will actually be able to recall the
exact year I had follow-up MRI's, and even the price of a stamp. Although not the idea of this journal, I just thought it
was very clever that all of this was thought to be included."
"My
girlfriends and I are going to turn our yearly journaling into a tradition. Instead of on our birthdays, once a year, in the
middle of the summer, we will meet at the beach. Spend the day filling out our answers about the past year and then when we
are all done we'll we share our answers with each other. I bought one for my four closet friends and I hope this will bring
us even closer together, and I'll get to know some real significant details about my closest friends."
"I am a proud Mom of an eight year old boy and actively involved in the
PTA. This year, when the school was contemplating fundraising ideas I suggested 'The Thought of Me' journal instead of selling
the same old chocolate or wrapping paper... We are working with the author directly and pleased with the online order site
and great volume discounts. Besides for the journal working to raise money we are happy to know that each order will provide
someone with a great memory keeper."
"When I
first heard of this journal I thought it was a great idea and wished I had one of these growing up... But at my age (let's
just say over 60) I felt it was too late to start documenting my life. Until my daughter, and her daughter (my granddaughter)
said they really wanted me to start using it. They explained that this way, when they reach my age, they can read my journal
entries and see how our views compared at the same ages. So thank you for this journal--we now have three generations of the
family involved and it makes for some great conversations. I included a photo of us all holding our journals. Thank you for
this special gift. "
"I really do like this product.
I enjoy scrapbooking even though I never really have enough time or space for it. One of the thing I learned through this
hobby though is the importance of using archival quality materials if you want the item to last for a very long time. Acid
free pens will make sure that the things you write wont fade either."
"My Dad has been gone 20 years now, but I can still hear him telling his stories. I really wish I had
gotten some of those stories written down, but I guess it's never too late to work on that."
"Very nice. I once had a high school teacher who told us to write out what we wanted to do after
graduation - what our dreams and hopes were. She then had us hand them in with a self addressed envelope. Three years I recieved
that letter and was amazed at what I wrote..."
